KDS embraces the evolution of online services and repositories, allowing scientists to search across many sites seamlessly, including subscription-based content, public Internet and local content all from the same web page.

KDS is a richly featured, semantically rich online environment intended for use in parallel with general purpose sites including Google, Amazon, blogs and other online forums that a researcher may use in their day to day research.

KDS Application Marketplace

The KDS Application Marketplace is the preferred site to create and/or purchase tools to create scientific mashups. This pilot demonstrates how researchers will have the ability to have more flexibility and targeted analysis of their content. Researchers will be able to enrich research content analysis via plug-in "lenses", adding considerable flexibility and re-use of content.
